I've found my furever family!

Charlie

We're happy to tell you that Charlie has a new furever home.

Once she was spayed and vaccinated, Charlie began to get reaccustomed to being inside; and quickly made friends with the other foster cats. She got to play with cat toys, wrestle and enjoy just being a cat, instead of surviving. She is very quiet, only making a small squeaking noise every so often, like when she wants you to put her down. She has been wearing a collar with a bell on it, so there is no question about her whereabouts in the house. As soon as foster mom comes home, she comes to greet her and get some attention. She is wild for cat treats, soft cat food mixed in with her grain-free kibble, and any scraps of fish, chicken or beef left over from dinner. She likes to be held like a baby. When you pet her, she sometimes starts to give "love bites" on the hands - for this reason, it may be best not to place her in a home with babies or toddlers, as this may scare them. She loves to hop in the kitchen sink; and loves to play in a slow trickle of water that she can pat, play with, and drink from.

The veterinarian estimates her age is 2 years. She has no trouble using the litter box. She is very well mannered, and doesn't scratch furniture, but will use a cat scratcher if she has one.

Charlie will do best with adult owners or older children in a quiet home. She spent a few days in a home with over-friendly/curious dogs, and it made her very anxious - her fur started falling out on the right side of her head. It is quickly filling back in now that she is back with only people and cats. She loves being brushed lightly with a cat brush, and her coat has a lovely shine to it now that her winter coat has shed.

Charlie will make some lucky person very happy. She is affectionate, loves pets and cuddles, and any attention she can get. She comes up and nudges her face into hers and it is the sweetest thing! She can't get enough love!
