So You Want To Adopt Your New Best Friend
Final Victory Animal Rescue is located in West Columbia, South Carolina.
We accept applications from potential adoptive families in the South Carolina area as well as out-of-state adopters. We offer transport to adopters up the east coast and located in the Northeastern United States! Private transportation can be arranged by adoptive families in other states, as well. And, of course, a family road trip is also an option!
Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the animal's background and your family's needs. Every animal is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right animal with the right adoptive home because we want this to be the pet's permanent home.
OUR PROCESS
Apply
Before inquiring about a pet, please fill out the adoption application. This helps us streamline the process and focus more of our time on the pets in our care. Rest assured your application processor will gladly answer any and all questions you may have about your potential pet and the adoption process.
Review
We will review your application upon receipt. A volunteer processor will reach out when they begin processing your application. At this time, you may ask any questions about the pet you're applying for, including adoption fees, temperament, and transport, if needed. The processor will contact your vet and references and request a virtual home visit as part of our approval procedures.
Meet & Greet
Once your application review is complete, a Final Victory Animal Rescue volunteer will contact you to schedule an in-person or virtual meet and greet! Please let us know if you'd like other pets and family members to participate, as well. This is a great time to ask questions and get to know the personality of your potential new pet before making your decision!
ADOPTION
Once your application is fully approved and you have met your potential pet, you will let your processor know if you'd like to move forward with adoption. Adopters local to the rescue have the option to "Foster to Adopt" before signing the contract and making it official. Our out-of-town adopters will sign and pay adoption fees digitally and connect with us to coordinate transport and pick up!

- Final Victory Animal Rescue is a small, non-profit organization. We rely heavily on volunteers to help us with the adoption process. We will make every effort to respond and process applications in a timely manner. Please be patient with us…the animals need our time too.
- All animals will be spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all shots prior to adoption.
- Adoption fees vary based on the age and breed of individual animals, as well as the adopter's location. Please confirm adoption fees with your processor prior to the meet & greet.
