Meet Jax! Jax’s story began when he was brought into the shelter after spending his life outside, day and night. One of our volunteers immediately recognized that Jax would need special support to adjust to a new way of life and start over. Outside, Jax was full of confidence and loved to play. But once he entered his foster home, he struggled to adapt to indoor living. He was nervous about everyday things like doors, hardwood floors, windows, the TV, and various household objects. Toys and leashes were foreign concepts to him, and he didn’t quite understand what to do with them.
With time, patience, and a lot of love, Jax began to find his footing. Thanks to his foster, he learned to be more confident and started to understand what it meant to be a “real” dog. Now, Jax is a bright and eager pup who has mastered many commands, is fully house-trained, and knows how to keep himself entertained indoors. He thrives in social settings, showing no signs of reactivity, and has the most endearing, goofy personality. Jax loves to chew on his bones, chase after balls, and has a playful spirit that will always make you smile. Jax is ready to bring endless joy and laughter to his forever home!
We promised Jax that the rest of his life, would be the best of his life. Could that be with you?
