I'm ready for my new family!

Winchester’s story started in a way no dog deserves. On December 9th, someone walked into a loca shelter, dropped his leash, and simply said, “you deal with it.” But Winchester has handled his situation with grace and resilience, and now he’s looking for the loving home he truly deserves in our care. This 3-year-old shepherd mix is an absolute gem. He’s not only handsome but also well-behaved and eager to please. He’s gentle, medium-energy, and easygoing, making him a joy to have around. Over the holidays, Winchester spent time with a foster family. Here is what they had to say about him:

“He's a sweet boy who loves to cuddle and we are working on door manners. He knows sit, lay down and paw (kind of). He doesn't mind the crate - he sleeps there all night and eats in his crate. He would do best in a cat free home. He is very people friendly and other dog friendly. He has been around kids ages 7-14 and did wonderfully. He is decent on leash but does have a fast pace.”
