We accept owner surrenders on a case-by-case basis.
Submitting the form does not guarantee that we will take your pet. We cannot accept all owner surrenders, as we prioritize dogs facing the threat of euthanasia at local shelters. Our facility is regularly at full capacity, so there is typically a waiting list. We are not able to accept any pets that are aggressive into our program.
As a nonprofit, we typically require a donation of $200 to surrender a pet. This will allow us to provide appropriate care while we search for a new home for your cat or dog. If we are able to take your pet, you will be contacted within 1 week of submission of the form.
Alternatively, you can avoid adding to over-crowded shelters and rescues by rehoming your pet via online programs like Home to Home or Rehome.
